Toro controller not running zones in Caruthers
A Toro controller that will not power on or does not start a zone can be a power, wiring or valve fault. We test the zone output and repair or replace the controller.
We could not find published watering days for Caruthers, so ask your water district for the current rules and we will program the controller to match.
Toro pop-up sprinkler head broken or stuck in Caruthers
A Toro 570-series pop-up that will not rise, will not drop back down or sprays crooked is usually dirt, a worn seal or a broken body. Most are fixed by replacing the head or nozzle and matching the spray to the zone.
Caruthers Community Services District runs the community water system, and the State Water Board lists its source as groundwater. We did not find published watering days, so ask your provider; a broken head wastes water either way.
About Caruthers
Caruthers shares the Fresno area’s semi-arid San Joaquin Valley climate, with long, hot, dry summers, mild winters and about 11 inches of rain a year, so sprinklers carry most of the watering load.
Caruthers had 2,613 residents at the 2020 census and sits at about 246 feet above sea level. A census-designated place (not a city).
The 2020 census counted 719 housing units in Caruthers, and about 60.7% of occupied homes are owner-occupied. That works out to about 355 housing units per square mile.
The first post office in Caruthers opened in 1891, and the town is named for local farmer W.A. Caruthers.
Toro zone valve stuck open or will not close in Caruthers
A Toro valve that is stuck open, or a zone valve that will not close, usually has debris, a worn diaphragm or a failing solenoid. We can rebuild or replace Toro valves.
A valve that sticks open wastes water around the clock, and a failed one leaves a zone dry. Ask your district for the current rules and we will match the controller to them.
