About Malaga
Malaga had 884 residents at the 2020 census and sits at about 295 feet above sea level. A census-designated place (not a city).
The Malaga County Water District covers about 2.25 square miles along State Highway 99 and provides water, wastewater, community recreation and residential solid-waste services.
At about 295 feet, Malaga shares the Fresno area’s semi-arid San Joaquin Valley climate, with long, hot, dry summers, mild winters and average rainfall of around 11 inches a year.
Setting your sprinkler timer
Set the days first, then the start time. Early morning is generally the best time, because less water evaporates. Check every program on the controller, because leftover days on a second program are the most common way a home waters more than it should.
If a zone puddles or runs onto the street, shorten the run time and add a second start, or have the heads checked. Water on pavement is waste in every city we serve.
Not sure your timer is set right? A free 21-point inspection checks the controller and every zone, and we can program it for Malaga.
