Water and watering in Parlier
Parlier’s water utility is run by the City’s Public Works Department, which bills for water usage about two months behind.
Parlier’s municipal code (Chapter 13.20) prohibits water waste: runoff onto a street, gutter, ditch or drain, and leaks or breaks left unrepaired. It presumes 48 hours after discovery is a reasonable time to fix a leak. We did not find assigned watering days in the code, so call City Hall at (559) 646-3545 for the current rules.

What drip irrigation means in Parlier
Drip works at low flow, so small problems show up as dry plants rather than puddles. A clogged filter, a cut tube, a loose fitting or a missing pressure regulator are the usual causes.
We walk the zone while it runs, find where the flow stops, and repair or rebuild the line. For new beds, we lay out a zone with the right emitter for each plant.
Drip puts water at the roots in Parlier beds and trees, with little lost to walls and walkways, and it runs on a short, steady schedule.
