What free sprinkler inspection means in Selma
The inspection is a full walk-through of the system: controller, valves, heads, coverage, pressure and drainage. We run every zone, write down each problem by valve, and tell you what each fix involves.
There is no obligation. Some systems only need an adjustment. Others need repairs, and you can choose what to do first.
In Selma, an inspection finds leaks, runoff and mismatched heads, the problems most likely to waste water.
Selma at a glance
Selma’s early growth leaned on irrigation: a water-driven mill was powered by the C&K Canal, a seasonal irrigation channel known locally as the Mill Ditch.
Groundwater irrigation also took hold early, when William De La Grange of Selma drilled an open-bottom well.
At about 308 feet, Selma shares the Fresno area’s semi-arid San Joaquin Valley climate, with long, hot, dry summers, mild winters and average rainfall of around 11 inches a year.
