We repair Rain Bird in Clovis
If your Clovis yard runs on Rain Bird parts, we can fix it. We work on Rain Bird spray heads and rotors, valves and solenoids, controllers and drip tubing, and we test every zone before we leave. Some people spell it “Rainbird”; it is the same brand.
Everything is repaired from our Clovis location; see our national page on Rain Bird repair for the full list of Rain Bird problems we fix.
About Clovis
Clovis shares the Fresno area’s hot, dry summers. Plastic risers, seals and solenoids work hard through the long season, and a lawn on a failed zone shows it quickly.
Clovis had 120,124 residents at the 2020 census and sits at about 361 feet above sea level. Incorporated in February 1912.
The 1894 lumber flume brought a lumberyard and sawmill to Clovis Station, and the town was incorporated as a city in February 1912.
Harlan Ranch, Loma Vista and Old Town are among the Clovis areas we work in.
Rain Bird valve stuck open or will not shut off in Clovis
A Rain Bird valve that never closes is usually debris under the diaphragm, a worn diaphragm or a failing solenoid. One that never opens points to the same parts, or to a wiring fault. We test the solenoid and wire first, then rebuild or replace the valve.
Clovis does not allow irrigation during or within 48 hours after measurable rain, and a valve that will not close can keep a zone running when the system should be off.
Rain Bird and watering in Clovis
From April 1 to October 31, odd-numbered addresses water Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday and even-numbered addresses Wednesday, Friday and Sunday, with no outdoor water use on Mondays. From November 1 to March 31, odd addresses water Saturday only and even addresses Sunday only. Irrigation is not allowed during or within 48 hours after measurable rain.
After a Rain Bird repair we test each zone and can set the controller to match. See the full Clovis watering schedule.
Rain Bird drip line leaking or clogged in Clovis
A Rain Bird drip line that stopped working is usually a clogged emitter, a cut tube or a failed fitting. We walk the zone while it runs, find the dry spot, and fix the tube, emitter or fitting.
Across Old Town, Loma Vista and Harlan Ranch, a zone with weak spray or a soggy strip along the curb is the usual sign of a leaking line.
Rain Bird sprinkler head not rotating or popping up in Clovis
A Rain Bird 1800 or 5000 that will not rotate or rise is most often dirt in the head, a worn gear or a stuck riser. A head that leaks at the top or the base usually has a worn seal or a crack. Most of these are fixed by swapping the head or its parts, then matching the nozzle and arc to the zone.
Clovis asks residents to keep sprinklers off hardscape and runoff to a minimum, so a head that sprays the driveway or sidewalk is worth fixing promptly.
