We repair Rain Bird sprinklers
ACRE repairs Rain Bird sprinkler systems in Fresno and Clovis. That includes Rain Bird heads (1800 pop-ups, 5000 rotors, Maxi-Paw and impact heads), Rain Bird valves and solenoids, Rain Bird controllers and Rain Bird drip lines. Some people write it “Rainbird”; it is the same brand, and we fix it the same way.
Common Rain Bird sprinkler problems
Rain Bird makes pop-up spray heads (the 1800 series), rotors (such as the 5000 series), valves (DV, PGA and others) and ESP-series controllers. Most problems fall into a few groups:
- Heads: a Rain Bird sprinkler head that leaks, will not pop up or will not rotate.
- Valves: a Rain Bird valve that leaks, will not turn on, or keeps running.
- Solenoids: a failed solenoid that never opens or never closes the valve.
- Controllers: a Rain Bird controller that will not power on or skips zones.
How to fix a Rain Bird sprinkler head
Dirt in the head, a worn seal, a cracked body or low pressure are the common causes. Replacing the head is simple, but the nozzle and the arc have to match the zone. See our head replacement page.
Rain Bird valve and solenoid repair
A valve that will not shut off is usually debris, a worn diaphragm or a failing solenoid. We can rebuild or replace the valve and test the solenoid and wiring. See valve repair.

Rain Bird valve stuck open or won’t shut off
A Rain Bird valve that is stuck open, stuck on or will not turn off is usually debris under the diaphragm, a worn diaphragm or a failing solenoid. A valve that will not open points the same way, or to a wiring fault. We can rebuild or replace the valve.
Rain Bird sprinkler not rotating, not popping up or leaking
A Rain Bird sprinkler head that will not rotate or will not pop up is most often dirt, a worn gear or a stuck riser. A head that leaks from the top or the riser usually has a worn seal or a crack. A Rain Bird 1800 or 5000 that has failed is normally repaired by swapping the head or its parts.
Rain Bird drip line and pipe repair
A Rain Bird drip line that is not working is usually a clogged emitter, a cut tube or a failed fitting. A Rain Bird sprinkler line that is leaking, or a zone with low pressure, can point to a broken pipe. See sprinkler pipe repair and drip line repair.
