Sprinkler Backflow Preventer Repair for Easton homes
A backflow preventer sits on the supply line to the sprinkler system and keeps irrigation water from flowing back toward the drinking-water supply. It is exposed to the weather, so seals wear, caps leak and bodies crack. Water spitting from the top or a constant drip means the valve needs attention.
We repair backflow preventer valves in two ways: rebuilding the internals when the body is sound, or replacing the valve completely when it is not. On request, we also install check valves at the lowest points on your property, which stops water from draining out of the low heads after a zone shuts off.
A leaking backflow device in Easton wastes water at the supply line, before it ever reaches a head. It is worth fixing early.
About Easton
Easton was formerly known as Covel, and later Covell.
Easton has about 217 housing units per square mile, a much lower density than Fresno itself, so lots and landscapes tend to be larger.
At about 276 feet, Easton shares the Fresno area’s semi-arid San Joaquin Valley climate, with long, hot, dry summers, mild winters and average rainfall of around 11 inches a year.
Easton watering rules and your sprinklers
A 2019 State Water Board case study says the entire community of Easton is on private wells, because there is no large water purveyor in the area.
Because most Easton homes are on their own wells, there is no city schedule that applies to them. If you have a well, the pump and pressure tank feed your sprinkler system. We work on the sprinkler side, not the pump.
On a well, a leak or a stuck valve also means the pump runs more than it should. Fixing the sprinkler side protects the pump too.
