We repair Orbit and B-hyve in Kerman
If you have Orbit parts or a B-hyve controller in Kerman, we can repair or replace them. We work on Orbit valves, gear-drive heads and timers, and we install and repair B-hyve smart controllers.
Everything is repaired from our Fresno location; see our national page on Orbit and B-hyve repair for the full list of Orbit and B-hyve problems we fix.
Orbit sprinkler timer not working in Kerman
An Orbit timer that went blank, lost its program or never starts a zone can have a power problem, a bad wire or a valve fault. We test each, repair or replace the timer, and set it for the days you need.
A controller that loses its program can put you on the wrong days in Kerman (odd Tue/Thu/Sat, even Wed/Fri/Sun (Mar 2–Nov 30); two days in winter; never Mondays), so we check the schedule whenever we repair or replace one.
About Kerman
Kerman shares the Fresno area’s semi-arid San Joaquin Valley climate, with long, hot, dry summers, mild winters and about 11 inches of rain a year, so sprinklers carry most of the watering load.
Kerman began around 1891 as “Collis,” a Southern Pacific watering tank and pump on the new Tracy–Fresno line.
The name Kerman was built from the first three letters of the surnames of developers William G. Kerckhoff and Jacob Mansar, who saw a chance to buy water from the new Enterprise Canal, which drew from the Kings River.
The post office was renamed Kerman in 1906.
Orbit zone with low pressure or a leak in Kerman
If an Orbit zone sprays weakly or the ground stays wet, the problem may be a line break rather than the head. We run the zone, trace the pressure loss and fix the pipe or fitting.
Kerman is about 15.1 miles from our Fresno location. A zone with low pressure or soggy ground usually points to a leaking line, and we trace it zone by zone.
Orbit and B-hyve and watering in Kerman
Kerman’s outdoor watering rules come from the City of Kerman.
From March 2 through November 30, odd-numbered addresses water Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday, and even-numbered addresses Wednesday, Friday and Sunday. From December 1 through March 1, odd addresses water Tuesday and Saturday and even addresses Wednesday and Sunday. No watering on Mondays, and none between 6 and 8 a.m. or between noon and 7 p.m.
After a Orbit and B-hyve repair we test each zone and can set the controller to match. See the full Kerman watering schedule.
Orbit gear-drive sprinkler not rotating in Kerman
An Orbit gear-drive such as the H2O-6 that sticks, stops turning or will not come on often has a dirty or worn gear drive, or low pressure at the zone. We repair or replace the head and match the nozzle to the yard.
In Kerman the rules in short are: odd Tue/Thu/Sat, even Wed/Fri/Sun (Mar 2–Nov 30); two days in winter; never Mondays. A cracked or misaimed head puts water where it should not go, and a head that never rises leaves a dry patch until the next watering day.
