How the City of Madera enforces water rules
Madera’s Water Division runs a Water Waste Patrol program and responds to every report it receives (City of Madera). The Stage B handout lists fines of $75, $200, and $500 for first, second, and third violations, and gives five days to repair a cited leak or sprinkler problem.
The handout also says watering more than fifteen minutes per setting may be considered wasteful, which is a good reason to set run times zone by zone.
