Hardscape for Fresno homes
Hardscape gives a Fresno yard usable space that doesn’t need water. It also changes how water moves, so new pavers and patios should drain away from the house, and nearby sprinklers should be adjusted so they don’t spray the new surface.
We plan layout and materials, excavate and compact the base, then set pavers, stone, edging, or walls.

Hardscape and Fresno’s lawn conversion rebate
If hardscape is part of a front-lawn conversion, note the City’s Lawn to Garden rules as of October 2026: rock materials (including pavers, brick, and boulders) can cover no more than 35% of the converted area, decomposed granite no more than 25%, impervious patios and decks aren’t allowed in the rebated area, and pavers must be filled with loose material such as paver sand.
We can plan the layout around those limits so the hardscape and the rebate work together.

Yes. Rock materials, including pavers, are limited to 35% of the converted area, and concrete is excluded from the rebated square footage.
Will a new patio affect my sprinklers?
Usually. Heads along the new edge often need to be re-aimed, changed to a different nozzle, or capped so they don’t water the patio.
Do pavers get hot in summer?
Darker materials absorb more heat. Lighter colors and shade from trees or a structure help keep surfaces cooler.
